It’s official! The Fail Network is off and running. Twits are following, fans are facebook-ing and now we need YOUR help!

From Oct 19th, 2009 to November 30th, 2009 the Fail Network is holding a Fail Pic/Vid submission contest. The grand prize is a $100 gift card for the retailer or restaurant of your choice.! There’s also a secondary prize for referring the person who wins the grand prize to our collection of Fail sites. In other words, if you told your friend about one of our Fail sites and they participated in the contest and won, you receive a $50 gift card for the retailer or restaurant of your choice!

Here’s how it works:

1. Submit pictures or videos via email to the Fail site of your choice

• You can send as many pictures/videos as you want.
• Each is counted as a separate entry.
• Be sure to put “Contest Submission” in the subject line of your e-mail.
• Each picture or video must fall within the Submit Your Own Fail picture submission guidelines.
• Each picture or video must be sent to the Fail site it’s intended to appear on. Don’t email your pic to failride if it was meant to go on failpet.
• Note: If your video file is too large to email, you can mail a DVD copy to Failbot Marketing, PO Box 483, Corning, NY 14830
• If you would like to upload the video to youtube and send it that way, you will need to prove that the video is original in order make your entry valid.

2. Vote!

• Every picture on the Fail network gives you an opportunity to vote on it. Once your picture is posted, vote for it!
• You can leave your fate up to the community or you can help grow the community by asking your friends to visit the site. They can vote too!
• Remember that your post will only stay on page 1 of any fail site for a short period of time (usually no more than a day). If you want that thing voted on, get your friends to it as fast as possible.
• You can also share the post link itself.
• Hints: Sharing your picture or video from our site to facebook or twitter is a great way to let your friends know about your submission.

3. Win by Referral

• If you have referred a friend (person X) to a site on the Fail Network and he/she has made a photo or video submission, be sure they mention your name and email address in their submission.
• Once they’ve sent in their submission, send an email to the same address stating that you have referred (person X). If they match up, we’ll attach your name to their submission.
• If their picture or video wins the Grand Prize, you win a $50 gift card for the retailer or restaurant  of your choice!
